Local flood strategies

Under the Flood and Water Act (2010), Lead Local Flood Authorities have a responsibility to develop a local flood risk management strategy for their area.

This strategy is consistent with the National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) Strategy for England from the Environment Agency.

Staffordshire and the Black Country (covering Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, and Wolverhampton) have different local flood risk management strategies.
